(I didn't know where to put something about Navigation. So I put it in Personal Electronics. Since an app is sort of the focus. Please move if there's a better place. My apologies. I probably just can't find the Navigation section )

How long before our favorite navigation app uses complete coverage drone footage of entire National Parks and forests?

Like how street view gives you movable images along entire streets. Which covers I would suspect most all of the country?

The hiking app all trails just added some features and it got me thinking. Because this app does a ton of crazy stuff. Like show you where there are a lot of people on the trail. So you can decide maybe to go to a more quiet one? Just a ton of features that kind of boggles the mind.

But it did make me wonder about all those trails that aren't actual National Park maintained trails. But all the hunting trails? It's probably like this all areas across America where theirs woods. But deer trails are all over. And have been used for centuries by man and animal alike. Some of best hikes I've ever taken were on these type of trails. They usually lead to something interesting or important. But they are also cross crossed by dozens of other deer trails.

But with the popularity of hiking and backpacking. I don't think I'd enjoy a crowded trail to much. I wonder if eventually hunters and other outdoorsmen start plotting their game trails and posting them online.

Now that I think of it. This has have already been done. Anyone with a cheap Garmin GPS has been doing that for years.

But I wonder when those trails will become popular? Once the popular trails now get to crowded?
