I think I may have a new favorite EDC flashlight.  :awesome:

2,000 lumens, powered by an included 3,000 mAh 18650, and with a tailswitch, this thing is a really nice little light that rides well in my leg pockets (without leaving bruises where it hits my leg) and has a ton of nice features, including an IPX8 rating.

Wurkoos reached out to me and offered to provide me a free one to review and I agreed.

The 6,000-6,500k SST40 emitter gives it a good cool white beam and the TIR lens/LED combo gives it a nice beam right in the middle between a thrower and a floody.  The tailswitch cycles through all the modes (Eco/Low/Med/High/Turbo/Strobe) with ease and the deep, heavy knurling on the body provides an outstanding grip.  Honestly, I opened the box, slipped the light out of its bubble wrap pouch, and went, "Ooooo!"  Yeah, it's that nice a grip.  Possibly the best grip of any flashlight in my collection.  You're not going to be accidentally dropping this light anytime soon, but if you did the mil-spec hard anodized finish can take the abuse and the included hand strap can be attached to eliminate the chance.  One other really nice feature on this light is the bevel on the bezel (okay, that's weird to type) that makes it super easy to slip back into a pocket or pouch without getting hung up on anything.

All this is not to say that the light is perfect, it isn't.  I'm not a fan of the cheap stamped steel pocket clip that it comes with, and the tailswitch on mine is a tiny bit too sensitive, unintendedly changing modes on me when brushed against on more than one occasion.  I'd also like it a lot better if it had a fully recessed tailswitch, instead of this crenalated style.

I'll try to provide some beam shots later tonight.

Oh, and you can currently buy it by clicking that first picture and using the 30% off coupon and 10% off promo code knocks the price down to about $25 out the door, including battery.

Edit: promised beamshots

Edit edit: Okay, they're crappy beamshots, but not bad considering it was 0430 and I was leaning against a wet mailbox (rained last night) and juggling two flashlights, a cellphone, and my wooden cane, all while trying not to fall down my driveway.  The top of that tree is about 175' away.

I agree with this light having some of the best knurling that I've ever encountered.  Grips really well, without being uncomfortable.  Mine is actually sitting on my beside table as a quick go-to light (I leave it on turbo) if I need something in the middle of the night.
