Do not underestimate the amount of carnage even just a few terrorists can do before they are stopped.  Our society depends on regular transit of all sorts of hazardous goods that no one really gives a second glance but a tanker full of gasoline/propane/acid/etc. can easily be used as a weapon.

Being in the oilfields of West Texas, I keep my head on a swivel pretty much all the time. Especially with the oilfield truckers who think they're driving a compact car instead of a multi-ton truck.

So, will they synchronize events or do it in waves?
Because, seriously, those extremists put a great deal of faith in significant dates, etc.
Doing it in waves would allow later targets to be forewarned. Not what they want.
So, especially in larger urban areas, if you hear of an attack anywhere,even in another country, duck and cover and prepare accordingly.

There was a stabbing in France today that's been attributed to a radical Islamist, but otherwise I haven't picked up any chatter about organized or coordinated activity.

In many synagogues in the US, Shabbat began around 20:00 this evening.  I haven't heard any breaking news to this point on the east coast, but if anybody wants to do a coordinated attack on synagogues across the nation or on the west coast, that threat rises in about 15 minutes when the west coasts reaches 20:00 and services begin there, as well.
