It's been a weird few days here. You may have heard we set a record here with 24" of rain in 24 hours a few days ago.

Well apparently the fuel terminals got flooded and no gas could get out to the gas stations. My impression was it was just a really rainy day here, so I didn't think anything of it. Still went to work, came home, etc etc life. And then all the sudden there's gas lines and no fuel. No warning, the news media only found out that there was an issue when the staff tried to get gas I suspect, and then started reporting on that aspect of the storm.

As of this morning 9 of 12 terminals are now running.

I don't remember any hurricanes disrupting the fuel flow like this, but they don't dump that much rain that fast. There were fuel shortages due to power outages after hurricanes in the past, but its since been legislated that all fuel stations in FL have a generator to continue to pump gas after one, and that mostly has worked.

This problem, the news reports seem to be conflicting, was due to trucks not being able to get in and out of the terminal area due to flooding. IDK for sure.
