You just know these things can turn invisible or teleport to another location. There's no other explanation why their existence on a human populated island has remained unconfirmed for so long. 

The question is why did that first specimen allow itself to be captured? I think they have a plan. I don't know what that plan is, but since it involves scheming cats, it can't be good.
