So I actually got two of these for $8 each, maybe 10, because I figured why the Hell not.

I was going to list my experiences with it but mine pretty much mirrored this:

I was quite shocked that for $8? It held up quite well. I was fully expecting having to place it in the gear fails sub-forum.

Granted this isn't replacing my EDC or anything in my load out, but for the price a decent back up that actually can baton wood. (You can pry my Hultafors hunting axe from my cold dead hands!)

On a lark last summer I painted it olive drab and wrapped the handle in 550 paracord; came out well.

Scabbard/sheath is horrible however.

I took one of those in trade back in November (my oldest brother owed me 30 bucks for a pair of scopes) and I had to do a small amount of work on it.

Namely red LocTiting the blade into the handle and LocTiting the little set screw that holds the blade in the handle.

So far, the LocTite is holding up well. I haven't tried beating the crap out of it yet, though.
