He'd probably be on board if you used a giant roll of rolling paper instead...   :awesome:

I'll go if we can make a detour and stop by Mel Brooks' place as well.

I just saw this on my news feed and it hit me HARD.
Mama, he's coming home. :'(

Ozzy was a big part of my teenage years, so this hit me pretty hard as well. :gonk:

Rest in peace, Ozzy. Now you can go make music with Randy Rhoads again.

I saw a really good post that said he basically knew he was leaving soon and the last concert wasn't just a simple good bye, but a funeral for the fans. I think he knew this was it but man did he give all the energy he had left.

You're probably right.

Ozzy knew he didn't have much time left and wanted to give the fans one last good show before he left us.

Still hurts, though.

I've got the box set of all of his songs.  Much of it is really nerdy as well as funny, and his song "New Math" is one of my favorites!   :'(

I vaguely remember that song. Only one I'm familiar with is the Elements song.

The Elements is one of his better known songs, along with Poisoning Pigeons In the Park and The Masochism Tango.
If it hadn't been for Dr. Demento, he wouldn't be nearly as well-known as he is.

We ought to check on Ric Flair too while we're at it.

Keith Richards is on his own.

Maybe you could get some of that "Securefoam" from Demolition Man and use that.  John Spartan:  "What the hell happened?  All of the sudden the car turned into a cannoli!"   :smiley_clap:

Oh, Ric Flair can bubble wrap himself. I'm not getting anywhere close to him.

Nope, this week never happened. That's just shit.

I just checked if my favourite blues musician is still kicking and someone already added a dash to his birthdate on wikipedia as if he's going to die every minute.  :gonk:

I just thought of something.

Can we get someone to go check on Bruce Willis and Clint Eastwood ?

I figure the Grim Reaper may have some trouble taking Clint down even at his advanced age, but Bruce ain't exactly John McClane these days and might be an easier target for him.

David Attenborough turned 99 this year, Tom Baker is in his 90s as well.

The next decade is going to be pretty sad. A lot of the action stars, classic British actors and 70s and 80s musicians are getting up there in age.

Billy Joel is apparently in poor health and has some kind of chronic brain condition.

From what I've read, Billy Joel has what's called Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, which is treatable and apparently his condition is improving.

This is according to an interview he did with Bill Maher earlier this month.

Still, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to break out the bubble wrap just in case.
