It's 1066 which is a pretty good steel for this kind of knife. It'll hold an edge and not be too hard to easily resharpen.

Sure are.  Just watched one on a tourist hotel in Osaka.  Some even for this knife.

Well, let my credit card catch its breath and I might buy one.  I prefer the spearpoint of the BS1FTS though.  A hair smaller than the other one but a better shape IMHO.  The HK5 is also getting my attention though.
