Geez, he was last on the forum four minutes before the time stamp that site shows.  I do hope all is well.

Folks you are on your own...Plan and act accordingly!

I will never claim to have all the answers. Depending upon the subject; I am also aware that I may not have all the questions much less the answers. As a result I am always willing to listen to others and work with them to arrive at the right answers to the applicable questions.

When i came home the power was off, but it came back on before i went to generator power.

I did get a warning on my phone but nothing near me. The tornado hit about10 miles southeast of my home. From what I see there is a huge power outage. But beyond that I do not
know the extent of the damage.

I appreciate the concern. Thank you.

BTW the entergy.com page shows power outages and that is most likely the path of the tornado.

Okay, I'm (more) awake now.  I went to bed around supper time (been sleeping weird) and woke up around 2130 because I had to pee and one of the cats was trying to bury a mess she made just outside the box (she's not happy with our choice of kitty litter).  As is usual, I had my phone when I went to pee and checked the forums for posts.  As soon as I saw this I texted Raptor.

I was going to go back to bed but this really woke me up.  Now that we know Raptor is safe I'm changing the thread title a little and we can discuss what happened and maybe contribute to recovery efforts as a group.

Glad to head Raptor is safe.

Now I'm wondering if the tornado that hit New Orleans was generated by the same storm system that caused tornadoes to hit Elgin and Round Rock, Texas yesterday.

Part of that line of storms, yes.  My buddy in Longview had one tornado pass north of him and a second just south of him.

Ugh....just got my second tornado warning phone alert in the last hour. The box for the first one was a few miles to the west of me. The second one is a few miles to the east.

The worst of it isn't supposed to be here until around 2AM. It's gonna be one of those nights.

You in New Orleans, too, or are tornadoes spawning in other areas, as well?

Same storm, but I'm 150 miles east of New Orleans.
