I've been readying for this over the past 24 hrs. NWS has been laying down the seriousness over the past few days.

I have one of the windows open & I can feel the power of this storm building.  It's incredible 😲

The car is gassed.  Hotel money in me pocket.

FBN:  was there a quake in your area a couple of days ago?

It's about 10 min or so now.
The storm is moving fast,  so the worst will be over quickly.

I will have to be alert till midnight here.

Destructive winds until midnight here.

Yea it's still blowing hard here also.
There is a strong smell of smoke in the wind. They have evacuated the town of Ellis KS due to a large wildfire. Ellis is near Hays. It's about three hours west of me . So that must be a heck of a fire.
In answer to the earthquake question. Yes. Didn't feel it. epicenter about 60 miles away.
Anybody hear from Woodghost? This passed over Omaha
