Either they don't sell it in my AO or I'm shopping at the wrong stores because I don't recall ever seeing this stuff around here.

I've heard of it, but I've never seen it for sale at any of the stores in my area. Either that or I'm an idiot and just haven't noticed it.

That last part is probably the more likely scenario. :gonk:

I have not seen it either.  Not even sure where in the store it would be if they did carry it.

I'd figure it'd possibly be in the canned food section, but it could also be in the bread section. I honestly have no clue where it'd be in the stores either.

If you have a Walmart or Kroger, their websites will tell you which aisle things are in.  Honestly, I can't remember which section I found it in when I've bought it in a store.  I'm pretty sure that it wasn't with the bread, but it might have been in canned goods or also in the baking aisle.

Not sure about Kroger, but there's a bunch of Walmarts in my AO. The next time I'm in one of the Supercenters, I'll see if they have any of this stuff.

I find mine in the canned food section. It's always right next to the baked beans (which are also made by the same company; B&M). There is usually a display of canned meats nearby, too, so that means they're probably on to us.

I have no idea why it's so expensive outside of New England. I mean it's just bread...in a can...right?

Looks like all they produce is beans and bread.  Pretty specialized.

According to this, the company has changed hands several times and the interest seems to be primarily in the beans with little to no mention of their bread product.  I suspect the bread is solely produced in the Portland, Maine facility and just never got much traction outside of that area.  Their beans, on the other hand, have been made in numerous facilities across the country to better meet demand outside of the New England area.
