They are already shutting down small farms by the hundreds in states like Oregon and Maine. Using water over usage as a reason. No connection to the data centers that I am aware of. But clearly they don't want independent Americans that can take care of themselves and think for themselves.

At what point does earth became one big incubator for manufacturing our natural resources. And humans become simply a resource housed in cubical living spaces? In complexes that "allow us to receive our basic needs, own nothing, and be happy"?

My understanding of the situation in Maine is that the farms are being shuttered due to soil contamination due to poor municipal waste handling and the state is trying to fix the situation.

Portland though, yeah AI is drinking almost half the water supplies in some municipalities.

This is basically just making it impossible to homestead. Even if your just selling your eggs to neighbors to augment your homestead. Their using satellite images and other high tech means to go after tiny home farms.
