Quote from: AI AssistantRecent studies suggest that Earth's inner core has paused its rotation and may be reversing direction, a phenomenon that could be part of a roughly 70-year cycle. While this change might sound significant, it is not expected to have profound effects on life on the surface.

While the study presents compelling evidence, it has also sparked debate among geophysicists. Some researchers argue that the observed seismic variations could be attributed to changes in the inner core's structure, rather than a full reversal in rotation.

For instance, John Vidale, a geophysicist from the University of Southern California, suggests that the inner core's surface might be morphing, which could explain the seismic data without requiring a change in rotation.

But what about the magnetic field?  With a wandering magnetic pole and this development at the same time, can we not speculate there may be a connection?

Yes, we speculate about anything. And worry! :awesome:

But the magnetic field is generated by the outer core not the inner core. And apparently this also happened around 1970 as its cyclical and it didn't flip the poles back then.  :smiley_shrug:

Here's a speculation, due to the reversal of the inner core's rotation, the Mole Men will leave their depths and try to take wives of human women. Story at 11.  :smiley_goodbye:  :smiley_sos:

It's the Mole Men?
I thought it was going to be the Reptilians!
Dammit...I was going to invest in heat lamps and napping rocks for our Reptilian overlords....

Yes, the Reptilians [archons, reptoids, reptiloids, saurians, draconians, or lizard people] are speculated to be among us now.

It's speculated that "Arena" in 1967 Star Trek TOS tried to warn us about them.

But I speculate, that Reptilians being space aliens, wouldn't be effected by changes in the Earth's inner core rotation and change their behavior. We can have both at the same time.  :awesome:

Okay, but will they be affected, that's the real question.

The Mole Men were affected by the change in the inner core's rotation.
