QuoteActress Hayden Panettiere, known for portraying an indestructible cheerleader in "Heroes" and a country music sensation in "Nashville," has died, her representative told CNN. She was 36.

Way too young. I hope she found peace. Her life wasn't a cakewalk by any means.

Indeed.  It pains me to see such beauty, talent and potential brought to an abrupt and tragic end.  I can only imagine what demons haunted this young lady.  May in the next life she find the peace that eluded her in this one.

Frank Beard, the drummer for the band ZZ Top, passed away on August 17th, 2026 at the age of 77.

That now leaves Billy Gibbons as the last surviving member of ZZ Top.

Oh that sucks, aikorob.

Given the circumstances, I'd bet they'll end up refunding a lot of folks now.

Billy and Elwood were on the road with a sub drummer earlier this month................we'll see if Billy decides to put the band to rest and just continue with The BFGs

To me, ZZ Top were Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard and Dusty Hill. It just wouldn't be the same without the other two.

It'd be like having Pantera without Dimebag Darrel and Vinnie Paul. It works, but it's just not the same.

Somewhere in England (or wherever he lives) Keith Richards just went through the Quickening again and thinks "Huh. Wonder who passed this time?"

A message from the Parton family.

Allergies are really kicking today.

The ladies at home made the mistake of watching Steel Magnolias last night. Not a dry eye in the house.

Dolly was a lot more than notable. She was a huge cultural icon. But more than that she followed the Golden Rule to it's final destination. That level of kindness is such a rarity in the world especially among the rich and famous that it is near extinction. She served as a great example of how to lead a great life, the best of us really. Whatever reward awaits her, it is richly deserved.

Tim Curry, Famous for Roles in Rocky Horror Picture Show, It and Annie, Dies at 80

Tim Curry decided it was time for his final curtain call and bowed out of this life to make his grand entrance onto the afterlife stage.

Tim Curry has been very sick for a long time. He was hilarious in the RHPS, which will forever be a part of my long disappeared youth.

A big part of my childhood has died along with Peter Cullen. I was an 80s kid. Transformers and GI Joe were my favorite cartoons.

Same here, except I was more a 90's kid since I was born in '85 and only got to experience the tail end of the 80's.
