DIY MREs and prepackaging dry food

Did anyone back up the thread from the old board where one of the members showed how they put together DIY MREs from commercial off the shelf dry food and retort pouch meats, then bundle everything in a sealed bag with a vacuum sealer? I want to say they had step by step instructions with photos and a list of suppliers for some items like the individual size condiment packs, spoons close to the MRE spoons, etc. Work friends are interested in doing camping once the weather cools off and I thought this would be a good preparedness project in general to have ready in a grab 'n go bucket.
