Not many things scare me, but tornadoes are one of the things that does.

I'm having a hard time verifying how many injured or killed. Probably  because of the multiple state nature of the outbreak. This map is terrifying. The wiki page on the outbreak lists 25 dead , 87 injured

I just realized that E. Monkey lives in Arkansas. I sent him a message over on Facebook, but he hasn't responded to it yet.

I'm hoping he and his family are ok.

ETA: Still no word from E. Monkey, but if he and his family are in the impact zone of any of the tornadoes, it's extremely likely the phone lines and internet access are down due to damage.

When he gets back to me, I'll update here on his status.

* At 727 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles north of
  Macksburg, or 10 miles west of Winterset, moving northeast at 65
  mph.
  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
  SOURCE...Radar indicated.
  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.
