As an aside. Couple months back . While sitting at a light after dropping my wife off for work early in the morning. A guy walked up quickly and was reaching for the back door of my car. UNTIL.... My dog poked her head out the partially opened window. His hand dropped and he walked around the back of my car and kept walking.  I normally carry my pistol in a right side OWB kydex holster. In my truck, there is enough room in the seat to draw . But in my car, not so much . If that guy was acting in ill intent ( as I believe )  My dog  was the only thing that kept me from being attacked . I never would have been able to draw my weapon before the rather large guy had his hands on me  .  Soooo.... I went home and searched and then bought this holster from Azula Gun holsters









Much more comfortable than any of my existing holsters I at first tried to make work for seated carry.

That's a nice holster. I have a similar holster in leather with a leather strap that goes over the top of the pistol. To hold it securely. This is specifically just for carry with a pack on. But I think your holster might be even better for carrying with a pack. Do you know if they make one with a strap? Gotta link?

I need to bite the bullet, buy a new handgun, and apply for my ccw. I don't want to use any of my existing pistols. As they were brought into the state before registration was required. And to get your ccw you need to register one pistol as your one regustered pistol you are allowed to carry.

I saw the above one this week. There are worse ones posted online. On surface streets where the criminals rammed the subjects vehicle multiple times in broad daylight. While the subject was trying to flee in there car. But kept getting rammed. Until the car could not move and they got robbed at gun point.

There is a lot to unpack with this video...

1.) Guy with the ponytail recording the scene. That was BOLD. Guy's lucky none of the robbers were carrying a firearm, and lucky none of them wanted to upgrade their aggravated assault charge to homicide by snuffing him on the spot.

2.) Robbers had to know the victim, right? To run someone off the road with one car, rob them, then flee in another car? What was the driver carrying that made him such an attractive target? How long had they been following him? 

3.) I hate bullies. Videos like this make my blood boil. The two innocent people in this video are either a.) kneeling on the pavement, hoping not to get caved in by a crowbar, or b.) recording the entire scene, also hoping not to get caved in by a crowbar. 

4.) The CHP telling people to be vigilant. Dude, you can be as vigilant as you want...when you have organized groups of criminals committing literal highway robbery in broad daylight, you have much bigger problems. 

5.) Stuff like this is the clear result of disarming your populace, defunding your police and replacing jail cells with revolving doors. It's going to get worse before it gets better.

The holster you are looking at...
The one I bought .
As you can see there is a bit more of a cant . Almost horizontal .  For use while wearing a pack the one you're looking at would be ideal. But less so for seated carry as mine is at a better angle while sitting in a car . But I don't see it as a deal breaker.  I used to carry a Ruger Blackhawk cross draw while out in the woods. Seemed to catch the brush a lot less and doesn't get in the way of a pack . So far I'm really happy with this holster. Workmanship looks good . Appears to be good leather and is molded to my firearm very well.  It also conceals good with a loose T shirt[/list]

Whats the retention like?

So far exceptional . For such a low cost holster, the wet molding is impressive. Best I've ever owned
