I picked up this knife not too long ago (maybe a week ago ?) and so far I'm liking it.

It's a Vosteed Raccoon with a crossbar/Axis lock instead of the usual liner lock or frame lock. Vosteed also makes a button lock version of this knife, but I chose the crossbar/Axis lock one instead.

Overall length is around 7 1/2" and the blade length is about 3 1/4" with a cutting edge of 3 inches on the dot. Blade steel is 14C28N, which is a Sandvik steel and one of the better budget steels out there.

Vosteed makes several different models of the Raccoon. I picked the cleaver/sheepsfoot style blade with black canvas micarta scales.

Overall length with the blade open is 7 1/2", with it closed it's 4 1/4". The blade measures 3 1/8" total with a cutting edge of 3 inches exactly.

So it's roughly the same size as a Spyderco Tenacious, which I also own.

Here it is compared to the Raccoon.

Just as a note, Vosteed originally had these with three holes in the liners to adjust the tension of the Omega springs (a spare set of which is included). Kizer, another knife maker, told Vosteed that it was too close to the design of their Clutch lock and Vosteed discontinued that particular model. Instead they replaced it with the non-adjustable type that's shipping now.
