Great, our sense of the present is getting lapped by next year's holidays. First cellphones and the internet made geography irrelevant. Now retail marketing is making time itself irrelevant.

The guy who puts them on the site is on vacation until Wednesday, so the decorations will pop up on the site after he gets back.

I was just looking on the Costco site and realized, holy crap, it's now the day after the First Day of Summer, and they don't have a single Halloween or Christmas item out for sale yet.

    

Purchased a Starlink Mini and 300GB/mo roaming plan.  I may bump this to the Unlimited plan at some point. 

This will have a mounting position on the roof of either my Jeep or my wife's Honda Pilot, possibly both, as well as a pipe-mounted position on our rear deck.  This will give us another option when the cable goes out, especially if that includes the 5G network.  This also gives me a good option other than hotel Wi-Fi when I travel, and a good data path when I'm off the beaten track, as I'm wont to go.

Flexibility is key to any comms plan.  This massively restructures ours.

This week's Project Farm video was on flashlights!  I only own one of the lights reviewed (the Acebeam P17, which came in 3rd), but it's my bump-in-the-night light that lives on my bedside table.  Somewhat predictably, the pricier lights (Fenix, Olight, Acebeam) came out on-top (brightest, best batteries, etc.).  Not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison, given the huge variation in size and battery types, but still some good stuff in there.

I replaced wipers myself on Friday.  They were due a while ago and i hadn't gotten around to it. . . 2" of rain was a good reminder.

Edit: I know when I put that set on him and about how many years they last (they're silicone), so I know they're due.  New silicone set will be there by the 29th.  (might be your truck now, but he's still Cherie's baby)
