If you notice the pocket clip on the ZT is on the tail and not the pivot point, so deploying this requires a different technique than the Blur who's clip is on the pivot point. I was worried about this a little when considering it, because I prefer thumbstud deployment to flipper, but now that I have it I've already got that worked out.
Now just have to cut myself with it like I do [accidentally] playing around with any 'new' knife.

I haven't cut myself yet and I've been playing around with this Zero Tolerance Sinkavich 0452CF a lot since I got it. Unless you count the time I snagged my skin when testing it's hair shaving ability on the back of my hand. But that's not the kind of cut I was talking about.
Well it took a while and a lot of trial and error to perfect the deployment of this large, flipper framelock folder. And I think I've found the technique.
As I said before I was worried that because its a flipper and the location of the pocket clip was on the opposite end of the grip from what i've been using forever, I'd have to deal with a learning curve to get it to deploy from my pocket as fast as my Blur or Cryo II which are both assisted thumbstud openers.
Progression of 'FAILs':First I tried to pull the 452CF the exact same way I pull the Blur or Cryo II which is to have my thumb go in my pocket and first and second fingers go on the clip out side the pocket. But that didn't work because you basically get the knife out of your pocket and you're holding it by its tail end. So then to flip it open you have to re-grip it and turn it in your hand to get your finger on the flipper. FAIL
Regripping is no good in an emergency for a one handed deploy. You can drop it or it can get knocked out of your hand.
Second I tried putting my index finger down the side of the knife in my pocket along with my thumb to hold that side of the knife, and then the knuckle of my middle finger was on the curved part of the pocket clip. Still had to re-grip and turn the knife once it's out of the pocket to get to to the flipper. FAIL
Third try was to run my index finger as far into my pocket down the spine of the knife, trying to get it close to the flipper when pulling it out of my pocket. And thumb went in the pocket also pressing on that side of the knife and then middle finger knuckle pressed into the curve of the clip. Still had to re-grip but didn't have to 'turn' the knife. FAIL but getting close.
Fourth try I put my middle finger and index finger into the pocket, along with the thumb. This way I can get my hand far enough into my pocket to position it so i don't really have to change anything or regrip once the knife is pulled. WORKED
The Technique for the ZT 0452CF one handed pocket deploy:Your thumb, index and middle finger go inside your pocket.
The thumb presses on the side of the knife's grip.
The index finger runs down the spine of the knife as far as possible.
The middle finger wraps around the grip and the first pad of the finger presses into the framelock's cutout.
The fourth finger rests on the pocket clip's groove [outside the pocket].
You basically press your thumb and middle fingers together to grip the knife and then index finger just waits or helps guide the knife out of the pocket.
At this point when the knife leaves my pocket the tip of my index finger is already on the flipper and I just have to rotate my wrist and move my arm in a downward motion while I flip the flipper stud. The wrist rotation and downward motion is to have gravity 'help' with the opening just in case you don't flip the flipper hard enough for it to lock by itself. This folder is un-assisted.
What you've mentioned above is one of my hates on some pocket knives. I really shouldn't need almost 2 hands to open something up. Especially if it's something you may need quickly. The location of the clip will is my deciding factor in purchases. I want to be able to open it like you described on the ZT, not fumble with it. One of my standby's is a CRKT Cruizer just for that reason. It's also the reason of my choice in pocket tools (Gerber vs Leatherman). 1 handed operation.
