These sorts of flares can also cause problems with GPS units and cell phones, among other things. Worst case scenario is a massive EMP pulse event. Time to study up on Faraday cages. Back when the Ukraine-Russian war started I set up a metal garbage can sealed with aluminum tape but recent posts have me rethinking this.

Wow. Great links. I have not beem online for a couple hours. I assume this was recent.

There is a good thread started on faraday cages. I assume in electronics. You should drop in. I'm sure you've got valuable content to add. We were just discussing how hard it is to get clear simole info about which faraday cage to build. For what type of event. And what type of equipment your trying to save.

Of course all the online solutions are written by engineers. So no its hard to get a clear simple answer. Seriously check it out. I would love your input.

I have SpaceWeatherLive from Play store.  It's been almost non-stop.  I pay the $2.99/mo.  A bargain at 1/2 the price.

And of course:  https://www.youtube.com/c/TamithaSkov/featured

(it won't post as a video)
