Title: Elon Musk Becomes World's First Trillionaire
Post by: Uomo Senza Nome on June 13, 2026, 02:19:50 PM
Elon Musk, already the world's richest person becomes richer.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/elon-musk-spacex-ipo-trillionaire-wealth/

How much is a trillion dollars? That would be 0.8% of the world economy, 3.1% of the US economy or greater than the GDP of 170 countries in the world or greater than the GDP of the bottom 80 countries in the world combined.

A trillion one dollar bills end to end would be 97,000,000 miles or greater than the distance from the Earth to the Sun. If stacked they would be 67,000 miles high or a quarter of the distance to the moon. They would weigh around 1 million metric tons, this would be enough to sink the  world's largest ship which holds half as much weight.

This level of wealth has only be surpassed by a handful of people in history; Solomon, Augustus Caesar,  Marcus Crassus, Mansa Musa,

He has surpassed JD Rockefeller as previously the world's richest American ever. Rockefeller at his peak held a little less than 3% of the US economy.

Where does the world's richest man live? Bel-Air of course. He owns six mansions there. Unless he is doing SpaceX stuff then he lives on the facility campus in a tiny rancher.

At least he got rich by "creating" world changing things. He didn't just make good business decisions.

My only fear is if that guy dies. I don't see his companies continuing the way they have. His companies are largely dependant on his work ethic and intelligence. Which again, is why I give him more credit than most others who have achieved anything like this.

Elon has implied that his 14 kids aren't necessarily going to inherit mega wealth when he passes. He hasn't really been public about what he does plan to do though.

I don't blame him. That can mess kids up. Children need a certain amount of adversity to develop resiliency. There is no set formula either. Some get enough, some don't, and some get to much. Parenting isnt easy.

I did read that he spends most of his time at a fairly not fancy place he has in TX. He has been famous for sleeping on couches and the floor at his various companies. He is quite obviously obsessed with solving problems and creating new ways of doing things.

He wasn't raised easy either. He grew up in South Africa. And his father is widely described as an asshole. He was not raised with a silver spoon. That and his mental place he comes from. I want to say he's mildly autistic. He has a strange way about him. And can be similarly focused at the expense of everything.

Maybe that's just something I imagine. I have two autistic nephews in their 20s. And an autistic neice. They have similar brilliance in narrow areas. But Elon is obviously highly functional. But he does have that sort of quirk about him. I can't out my finger on it. And it's something I should probably fact check. Before running my mouth.

I find his brilliance and steadfast honesty interesting. I probably sound like a drunk fanboy. But I am tired of the negative coverage of someone doing so much positive things in the world. When literally (this was fsct checked in a recent study) something like 98% of the media coverage about him is negative. That's a bias that can not be possible if we actually had a free press. But anyway.

I'm not sure how you can only speak negatively if someone doing so much for our society. Or just the world in general. And it's not like he's just a brilliant stock trader or something. He actually creates things.

Edit from AI:

"Yes, Elon Musk is on the autism spectrum. He publicly shared this in May 2021 while hosting Saturday Night Live, stating during his opening monologue that he has Asperger's syndrome."

I don't think Elon is Autistic. He is a lot smarter than the average and that can create a communication issue of it's own. Steve Jobs was similar in a lot of ways. He would pause a conversation and then pick it up three years later in the exact same spot and expect the other person to know exactly what he was talking about, even if he was calling them at 2am. Smarter people also sometimes have trouble dumbing stuff down for us regular folks and this can make for awkward conversation. When you throw in the power disparity dynamic that he has when dealing with most people it increases the awkwardness.

Media coverage of him didn't become hard negative until he blundered into politics. Politics doesn't function by understood rules of logic and most of the time information about what motivates people to do the things they do is hidden due to graft and corruption. I think he figured that out and decided it was pointless to try since it is ingrained in the system.

I did find ironic that he teamed up with a leader that hates electric cars and a lot of new tech with a passion.
