Well, with Level 4 warnings out for a large swath of the I-95 corridor, from DC south to deep in the Carolinas, a Level 3 (out of 5) warning for an even broader area, I hope y'all have battened down the hatches by now. The wife and I just did final preps, taking all the loose tables, chairs, doormats, etc. and putting them inside the heavy wire space of the front porch catio. Her Honda (still paying it off) was brought into the garage, while my Jeep (paid off years ago) is now parked in the lee of the house with a snow shield cover over the windshield. I can't do much about the sunroof except hope the house shields it from the worst of any hail we get. The roof rack and tire should protect the panoramic rear glass. We'll see how it goes, and if a tornado takes us out and I'm gone tomorrow, thanks for sharing a fun ride with me. Let's do it again in the next life, k? Love ya all.
You ain't going nowhere, buddy! This ride ain't over yet!
Uh, was it a big nothingburger for y'all? It was so still today it was eerie. It probably would have felt perfectly normal had we not been inundated with intense, seemingly certain predictions for three days.
Anyway, all good in the Richmond area.
Here in Eastern Kentucky, we got really high winds and about an inch and a half of snow yesterday. We got the hard rain part night before last. The roads got covered by snow yesterday but it mostly melted off before nightfall. Today it doesn't even look like there was snow on the road at all.
As far as damage goes, I lost a couple of sheets of metal roofing on the garage, but I'm not too concerned considering that it is full of scrap metal and not much else.
Gonna have below freezing temps today and tomorrow night, but no more snow or rain.
Pretty much a nothingburger here. No hail, strongest gust was 32mph, bit of rain. Jeep is fine, and y'all are stuck with me for the foreseeable future. Still love y'all, but don't let it go to your head.

The busses didn't come through, so I figure school was out here, too. Mr. Anianna's VDOT office shut down for it because their weather people were so sure it would hit, so he was working from home. He spent the afternoon and evening saying, "Where's the storm these people keep harassing me about?" while grumpily gesturing at windows.
Better safe than sorry, I guess, but he was thoroughly annoyed
And... done and locked.
