Title: Design elevating the use of a pocket carry fixed blade.

I find this design really innovative. It seems to me few really huge design changes come in knife design. Every decade or so. We are constantly bombarded with new this or new that - trumpeting some new knife that you just have to buy. But in reality doesn't really push the design improvements in knives that far.

The Spyderco hole comes to mind. A simple design innovation. That for me elevated the use of a folding knife into something that not only allowed you to use a folding knife easily one handed. But also gave you the simple control to open a knife almost silently. And free of any complicated opening procedures that might be hard to overcome when overwhelmed by adrenaline. Even a flipper, which requires a fair amount of finger placement and more than simple wrist action can become difficult in an emergency or self defense situation. Whereas the Spyderco I find fsr supior in it's simplicity. When opening. As soon as you grab the knife your thumb rests naturally already in the opening mechanism - the blade hole. Where a simple compound movement of your thumb controls opening in a very simple, fast action. Or a slower more silent way. This truly elevated the folder as an emergency self defense weapon IMHO.

The next step up from that is a fixed blade. I'm not a knife fighting expert. But obviously something that does not even need to be opened is a step up in deployability. But both the open belt carry. Or a hidden scout carry horizontally on your belt. Come with limitations.

Open carry on a belt vertically is not always possible. But even if hidden by long clothing or shorter clothing in the case of the scout carry. Both require moving clothing out of the way to get ahold of and deploy.

The advantage of the folder is pocket carry. Not fully hidden as the butt sticks up out of your pocket. But certainly alot less visible. Especially if your carrying an all black folder in all black pants say. Or other more convenient color similarities.

But what if you could carry a fixed blade pocket carry?

That's what this knife design does. It provides a pocket clip in the handle that is adjustable vertically to adjust how much sticks up out of your pocket. But is also ambidextrous. The blade is protected by a kudex sheath that covers just the blade. But the sheath has a nitch that sticks out one side. That catches your pocket when drawing the knife out. And releases the knife from the sheath.

This, IMHO, is a true innovation in self defense knife carry. Elevates your choice of fixed blade over folder, removing the necessity to have to draw and then open the knife. But also gives you the option of a stronger fixed blade without a joint.

Really interesting. And an actual innovation worth looking into. Not a gimmeck or new NASA level metal to overpay for. But a design that actually offers something you've never seen. That elevates the use of a self defense knife.
