Thanks to a heads up from
@Barr, I found out that there's a massive wildfire going on right now near Fredericksburg Texas (which is about 90 miles from Austin.)
The fire started yesterday and as of three hours ago, was at 0% contained. Fire suppression aircraft are on the way and there's multiple crews working to contain the blaze.

Fredericksburg fire (being called the Crabapple fire) is at 40% contained as of an hour ago.
ETA: Acreage burnt is 9,500 and the fires are 55% contained as of 3/16/25
As of two hours ago, the Crabapple Fire near Fredericksburg was reported to be 65% contained.
Estimated total of acreage burnt is 9,500.
Crabapple Fire is 85% contained as of an hour ago.
Total acreage burnt is now 9,700 acres.
