1) I'm not dead, but....
after a bout of cancer, then SARS-2, then "COVID related" pneumonia, the last half of 2024 was a shitshow.
2) I was pulling in very little $$ on my fiction work, so I pulled the plug. All the crap I have to file with my income taxes to cover the $16 made one year was the breaking point.
3) I'll check in more often, this is a site with some very nice folks...so well worth the effort to visit.
2025 should be epic for soooo many reasons!

Don - Can I ask how old you are and what your health is like now?
Concerned about you. :)
We've all been on ZS and this forum for a long time. I think we might all be surprised how old each of us is! Lol!
I'm 60.

73 and a cancer survivor. I'm in pretty good heath, all things considered.
I'm happy to be a minder of a 3 month and 3+ y/o grandsons. I feel I am the richest man in the world - as I'm debt free, have most my family locally and friends and get to see the littlest of the grandkinder on a regular basis.
Thank you for your concern.
Write for yourself and enjoy your family & friends then!

I'll still post the odd short story here.
@TACAIR - I always enjoyed reading your books. Glad to hear that you are doing well.

Finally getting some time to catch up on all the threads I've been missing for a few months. Sad to hear but I believe I bought all your books from years ago sitting on my emergency kindle that I haven't checked in on for years. It was always plugged in and tucked away.
Glad you're doing well and glad to hear things are getting better. We have a 3 year old and my mom is going through a bout of health issues and it kills her she can't watch him. Hopefully she'll get better and we can have her watch him. It's the highlight of her week to have him.
