My one complaint of etools has always been their short length. This can't really be compared as it's a whooping 6.75 lbs! The all metal Etool is 2.25 lbs and the newer half plastic one is 1.75 lbs. An average shovel weighs about 5 or 6 lbs. But can get up to 10. So it fails as a man carried device.
But as a truck shovel I do like how it folds up.
But the price is insane. $150. I don't think so.
This is a design in the right direction though. Trying to dig out a stuck vehicle is pretty hard with an etools short length. And just digging in general kills with such a short device. Having to be bent over the entire time or on your knees.
I still can't figure out why it's so damn heavy. That's a ridiculous weight.
Anyone know of other shovels in a similar design?
