Halfapint reporting in for long rambling posts. No no, don't sound to excited guys. Was on ZS for a number of years. Currently living in a 5th wheel, on 5 acres with my wife and grandparents. We hope to start more homesteading/self reliance things in the near future!
Major shoutout to NT2C for making us a new home!
Outta curiosity, and if you don't mind a bit of prying, what model fiver and how are you liking it?
I gave up on a fifth wheel (the trucks to pull them are way too expensive right now, in any kind of decent shape), and am looking at maybe a Rockwood 2516S (https://forestriverinc.com/rvs/travel-trailers/rockwood-mini-lite/2516S/5691) or whatever it's Flagstaff equivalent is.

Not at all, we ended up with a Grand Designs 385GK. 40.5' long. It's a bit different as most of the ones we looked at the hallway leading up was right as you entered the door. Ours is on the far end and we actually like it more. We also liked this one more because it was 40k off MSRP, and was actually LOWER than their cost it was actually going to head back to the manufacturer but they clipped a corner as peeled up the side. We talked to the manufacturer and they offered to fix it, and sell it to us for cheaper. It still has warranty on it, and after 1.5 years and lots of rain, we've had no leaks. And only very minor issues.
Sounds nice. I was originally looking at Grand Design's 260RD. I still like it, just couldn't come up with a truck to pull it.
Since it's just me, hopefully a spacious 25' will do.

Look at the GD 150 series. They are hitch dragers but they are meant for 1/4 ton trucks. Over all I'm very happy with the GD trailer.
The issues we had were the original stove. The right burner would never stay lit. No matter what you did it would go out. Took it out, brought it into RV country and they tested it and sent it back. And had a new one shipped to us!
The main water pump. We don't ever use it but it leaks. I think what happened is the wife while I was gone switched from tank water, back to the "city water" setting and left the pump running. I can't really fault GD on that. But those have literally been the only issues we've had.
GD is good stuff. We just sold a 311BHS because my teenagers outgrew the bunkhouse and bought a toy hauler so they have a whole garage to sleep in.
Good time to sell an RV, not so much to buy one.

They have called us 3 times to try and get us to sell ours. It was the least popular model they had and have had people asking for it now.
Ours was two years old when we sold it, and the buyer paid about 85% of what we paid new. Plus, he lives 2000 miles away and still needs to transport it. So definitely a hot market for selling.

GD was actually my leader when I was looking for a fiver, with the Reflection 150 260RD. I've heard almost nothing but good reviews of their designs. If I were buying a 'vacation-class' travel trailer, I'd really be eyeing their...uh...gimme a sec to find it...Transcend Xplor 200MK.
But since I couldn't find a good fifth-wheel capable truck for what I was willing to pay and in a condition I consider acceptable, I need something honestly half-ton towable (most "half-ton" fifth wheels are pushing the upper end even for heavier-duty F-150s and the like), but still with reasonable interior space and storage. The Rockwood Mini Lite 2516S and it's Flagstaff equivalent look like the best option for my admittedly niche requirements.
And hopefully in a few years, I can step down to a smaller, easier-towing trailer, and buy the 200MK. :D
Halfapint, thanks for mentioning in your original property development thread in "the old country" that registration was open here. I thought we had to wait till July 1st for some reason.

Technically, this is a late alpha version, maybe a very early beta. I'm putting in some long days on this.

We REALLY appreciate it! I took some time off last year from ZS, but for the past 9 years I literally had it up at work, and it was the first page on my phone and I never closed it. It was kinda this safe haven for me. So you taking the time to build this and put in all this work, really means everything to me. And obviously others as well!
