Can't saying this is unexpected, or that I even disagree with this response. But this is the widening of the war that everyone feared and that Iran was hoping for. Where it goes from here is anyone's guess. I have a few ideas but none of them are good.
I agree I am not surprised but then if I am not surprised neither should any of the other world leaders be surprised.
They likely saw this coming or were told before hand it would happen.
As long as the strikes are not against Iranian territory I think the world will shrug it off as "play stupid games win stupid prizes".
