Quick video on a simple, flat-packing campfire reflector oven I built this weekend. It is used to bake breads, cakes, brownies, pies, pizza, or meat by reflecting back onto the food heat from a tall fire. These are too heavy for backpacking but they make a good addition to canoeing or car camping, as well as giving another cooking option in a grid-down situation.

The parts cost me about $65 using 26ga aluminum sheets. I think a thicker gauge metal would have been better but they didn't have any in stock. If you already have scrap metal and an angle grinder, making one is a fun day's project. Frankly though, a good one from Amazon runs $90, so I'm not honestly sure if it was really worth making instead of buying.
