When you turn these interior lights on they are bright white. Cycle them off and then on they become red. This size fits most modern vehicles interior lights. But check their store for more applications.
This is a huge advantage security wise when traveling by vehicle. And keeping your eyes adjusted to the dark.
I can't find them on Aliexpress. But might be cheaper elsewhere.

Does it activate as red every other time whether you want red or not? Or does it only come on as red if you quickly cycle on/off?

I think the latter. I found this post on one of my Jeep forums. I think it always comes on bright white. But then if you click it off and then back on it turns red.
I kind of wish it was the other way around. Red then white. If you're trying to remain clandestine it would be better to first turn on red. So you aren't making a flash of bright white prior to using you're red lights. Might even be an argument for just using red interior lights only. I ran red interior lights in all of my surveillance vehicles. When I was working in the field as a PI. Back in the day we would just paint all the interior lenses with red nail polish. Red lights are easy enough to see. But it is nicer to be able to see the entire interior of your vehicle with bright lights.
I know on my Jeep JKU the interior lighting is very dim. It only has two overhead domes. And no other lights. Not even footwell. So even with the brightest white leds I have installed in the two domes. You still can't see much in the cab, floors and very little in the cargo area at night.
I have purchased extra led lighting for the floor boards, cargo area and rollbar mounted led lights for the front cab area. (The rollbar lights actually solve the red first issue. As they have separate buttons for red and white.) But even with the domes on you can't see your lap, much of the dash and nothing in the console area. It's very annoying.
I like that my Jeep is quite luxurious inside. But that they try to keep the number of electrical and mechanical accessories to a minimum. As there is less to fail then. But the interior lighting is a huge fail. (As is the stereo system. But thats a discussion for another day.) I may add even more lights. Like bottom of doors so you can see the ground when getting in. And probably a light inside the console.
One really great addition has been two of those led flood lights Ebuff reviewed. I think they are the interex or warsun brand. They are about the size of a pack of cigarettes. But throw an amazing amount of flood light. I think they are 1500w iirc. They also have a magnet on the back for mounting in the engine bay or anywhere you have metal in or outside the car. I have two in my console. Just sitting anywhere in the Jeep, pointed up, they pretty much light the whole interior.
I use red only bulbs in certain vehicle interior lights so that I can get red light when I need it. In my trailer and the back of my old truck I have lights that take two bulbs and have switches for each bulb. This allows you to choose red or white and makes night operation of radios in the field much easier.
