Title: Varusteleka Puukko $39.99
Post by: Moab on November 18, 2023, 02:04:10 PM
This looks like a very nice knife for a very affordable price. It comes in larger models. And is $54.99 with a plastic sheath and belt clip. A leather sheath is available as well.

"A very small and handy little puukko knife for home and wilderness. Easy to carry, great for all those detailed tasks, and sturdy as hell. If you don't need to wrestle with abominable snowmen, this works perfectly as your primary knife. If you like 'em bigger, take one of these as a spare one.

Weight: 125 g (4.41 oz)
Total length: 185 mm (7.28")
Blade length: 85 mm (3.35")
Blade thickness: 3.25 mm (0.128")
Edge angle: 23°
Steel: 80CrV2 carbon steel, 59 HRC
Made in Kauhava Finland, the region that has long traditions in puukko knife making."

Varusteleka's puukko & skrama line is legitimately bombproof.

Been using their 140mm puukko for 4-5 years and I beat the shit out of it on purpose. Last year the handle finally developed a little play after two days of heavy batoning in sustained single-digit temps during a Bushclass overnighter in Pike NF, so I glued it back on when I got home. It's still going.

Have a bare tang mini skrama (the sheepsfoot above) waiting to get scales sitting in the garage. It's the same thing in a different format.

Ridiculous knives for the money. Love mine.
