Techmoan is a marvelous YT channel devoted to exploring archaic, obsolete and dead end audio and video technologies. Matt's obvious passion and enthusiasm for the subject matter makes his videos unreasonably entertaining, IMHO.
Here, he takes us on a deep dive into the Good News Messenger tape player. Originally intended to evangelize third world audiences, I thought of UFOZS when he humorously notes its post-apocalyptic potential towards the end. Purposed-designed to be user serviceable in remote locations, it even contains its own supply of spare parts tucked away inside the case.
