Ok so i got a new coffee maker is what started this. The old one had all the build up on it and i guess that burned out element in it. So I saw another post Raptor said he used a ZeroWater filter and I thought hey I can use that to fill the new coffee maker.

Well i set it up and the water taste cleaner then my well water. Was easy to set up had some cardboard fuzz and stuff in it so i washed it out( instructions say to was before use), screw filter on, fill. I was curious about the well water and used the included TDS meter, well has 131 ppm. That's better then everything i saw on a youtube vid someone on here linked to about water filter comparisons. Then I have another spout on the sink which is a under sink water filter I never used, it showed 006 ppm, but it looks cloudy.
The after ZeroWater filtered water i checked it and it showed 000ppm like in the ad's. I figure i will have to change the filter monthly so I got a 12 pack of there filters too. It filters kinda slow but fill it after each use should be ok. They also recommend changing the filter when the filtered water says 006ppm.
Next is to check and see how long the filtered water would last if I put it in the empty 1 gallon water jugs for storage with no added bleach or stuff.

The 1 month update
So I use this for water for my coffee maker's, the big one is a 14 cup maker ,small one is 5 cup maker, and then the single k cup one. We average 20 ish cups of water through this filter a day , I have a pitcher that's used only to fill this from the sink, fill the top reservoir every time we draw from the filter. The original filter cartridge still in, did a test with the TDS meter and still shows 000 after filtering. Sink ( well water ) shows 131 TDS before filtering.
I have the filtered spigot at the sink that shows 006 TDS. So the filter don't need to be changed as often as I thought.
The only problem I have is the spigot. Where that water exits is back a bit more then usual, meaning I have to hang this over the edge of the counter more then what it looks like I should. I may have spilled a little once in a while.
I plan to make a sturdy stand for it so I can fill the coffee pot and stuff to correct that.
