Title: Review: Arcturus Military Wool Blanket
Post by: NT2C on March 13, 2023, 02:27:26 PM
One vital piece of kit for survival in colder climates is a good blanket, preferably wool or at least 80% wool blend.  These Arcturus Military Wool Blankets (https://a.co/d/10MNtej) on Amazon fill this role rather well.  Weighing in at a beefy 4.5 lbs. and in a generous 88"x66" size these are seriously warm and cozy, even when wet.  I keep one on my bed, atop the electric blanket that is beloved of my cats, and I close the HVAC vent and open my window from fall through winter to spring.  Even my ceiling fan is on.  The heated blanket only heats by my feet (where two of my three cats sleep) and I stay perfectly warm and comfy no matter how low the temperatures drop.

Now, the blanket does require typical woolen product care (I use a good woolen soap and cold water) when in need of cleaning, but ours are several years old now and showing zero signs of wear.  I just wish they were a tad wider to better cover my queen-sized bed.

Considering the current $37.99 price, these are a real steal.

This product gets the "UFoZS Official Prepperware™" seal of approval.

I just noticed these are on limited time sale for $33.99 and they also have a queen size if you still wanted a bigger one

They've had the queen size for as long as I've been aware of the brand.  They're just outlandishly priced when you compare them to the price of the regular size.
