Rupert is convinced that the bags of BRCC coffee I have in the kitchen cabinets are bags of cat treats he's being deprived of.  Tonight I was opening a fresh TactiSquatch dark roast bag and Rupert was utterly convinced there were cat treats involved, despite being shown the bag, and container the coffee got put in and sniffing my hands.  His frantic plaintive cries eventually wore me down to the point that I started going through the cupboard shelves and fridge top, looking for bags of old treats that the cats hadn't liked but never got tossed out.  Finding the Friskies on a dusty back top corner of the fridge, I got two treats and tossed one to Kimmey (who was coming to see what Rupert was making such a fuss about) and one to Rupert.

Rupert is a treat vacuum.  The cats get treats three times a day (morning after breakfast, evening after dinner, and nighttime before bed.  Rupert usually finishes his before the girls finish theirs and will try to bully them into letting him steal theirs or just outright swiping them with his big mitts.  He really is a treat addict.

This time, Kimmy immediately turned her nose up at the treat (she's not crazy about treats but will accept at least a couple if offered) while Rupert practically inhaled his, leaving a drool puddle where it had been.  He then pounced on the other treat and gobbled that one down, this time at least giving it a couple of chews, and immediately begged for more, which he did not get.  As soon as he saw me put them away he shut up and went back to his daytime "comfy bed" in my wife's office.  He seems perfectly fine.

Rupert is a selfish prick, also known as a cat.
