Title: OLight pocket clips
Post by: slipkid42 on September 08, 2022, 07:40:24 PM
So I know there's alot of love for OLight on here, I have a few of their lights as well.  One is the i5t.  I have caught the pocket clip on a number of things and it's stretched and bent and loose.  I know they sell replacement clips, but they always take them away during their deal times.  Does anyone know of replacement clips that work, that are less expensive than the OLight ones?

Sorry no leads on replacement clips.  But have you tried bending the existing clip back into shape?  Think of it as a self reliance exercise if the S ever truly HTF.  The ability to repair and improvise will suddenly become very important.

I have bent the pocket clip on my Zebralight back into place many times and probably even more times for the pocket clips on my SOG pocket knives.  No issues thus far.

Send them an email and they'll probably send you a replacement clip.  Their customer service is pretty good.

Thanks for the replies.

I have bent it back many times, can't seem to get it tight enough.

I will try an email, what's the worst they can say "no"   :)

Do these fit?

These guys frequently have all sorts of things like this.

Then there is Olight.

Sorry I haven't been back in this thread lol.
Naturally the Olight clips will fit, it just sucks that everytime they have their deals and specials, they remove the clips from being able to be purchased.

I figured out how to stop it from catching on other things, I got a piece of shrink tube and put it over the clip, so now it can only be clipped on way, the reversible part of the clip is now covered over and it no longer catches on everything.

So in my ongoing i5t saga.  It finally disappeared from my pocket, not sure where though so it's gone.  Recently, during the Halloween sale on olight I grabbed 3 i5t's.  i plan on using two of them as gifts.  This time I did my shrink wrap on the clip before it got the chance to snag on anything.
What I'm looking for now is a retractable lanyard to go thru the small lanyard hole on the clip.  They all seem to be too large to attach.  If anyone has any suggestions, links, ideas etc.
