Site Templates Will Be Discontinued

I know many of you make use of the various site templates I've installed in the past, but there's a problem.  All of these templates were installed years ago and have not been updated to keep up with changes to the core structure of the system, as it itself has been updated.  Templates were behind by two sub-generations, but this past week has seen two updates to the core system, putting the templates 4 generations behind.

When it was just two generations, the errors logged by the system were manageable, about 30-60 per month.  With the latest version of the core system, though, templates are causing 70 errors per hour.  This is unsustainable, and I have no choice but to stop using the templates until their authors update them, or until replacements can be obtained that are compatible with the current software.

I know this is going to seriously affect how some of you use the system, and I wish there were more that I could do, but this has to be done or the whole system could crash.
