Just a rant about these tactical tomahawks, warhammers, and similar items. That ridiculously run $500-$1000+!

It kind of reminds me of the tactical lever action rifles with mloc rails, and red dots, and other tactical features.

Why?

It's such a marketing industry scam. Such a blatant attempt at fleecing guys out of their money.

I mean look at his "Warhammer" that just came thru my inbox this morning?

This bad boy is on sale for the incredibly low price of $750! Lmao!

Really?!

Is there a special metal alloy that's better for smashing in a skull made of soft tissue and pliable bone?! Lmfao!

The $40 Estwing forged hammer probably wouldn't  do it would it?!

Nah! That metals to soft! And probably isn't even made to deal with wood! ;)

Or the $58 Estwing forged hatchet. That probably wouldn't work either! What a piece of sh*t!

It's gotta be the superior "tactical" design elements. Of the $750 tactical hatchets. That allow them to not crumble under the strength of bone or even a door lock!

This whole thing is such a joke. Do ya think a cheap ass $5 hammer with a wood handle wouldn't get the job done of caving someone's head in?! I'm literally laughing at this whole idea.

I think I'd have more respect and be more scared of the guy with an old rusty framing hammer hanging off his belt. Than some tacticool nerd with his $900 tactical hatchet that isn't missing even a tiny scrape of paint.

$750? Seriously? You're gonna try to look at me with a straight face? And try to convince me you didn't just get taken for $710?! Lol!

And don't get me started on the $2000 tactical lever action! Why don't we just put red dots on our flintlocks. And try really hard to get our reload times down under 2 minutes! Lmao!

I hate to tell these guys you can bash a skull in with a rock! Maybe we need to start marketing the "Tactical Rock"?! That's the ticket! An aerodynamic rock! "You really need this if you're gonna consider yourself tactical!"

I saw the same thing in a Knife Center email I got the other day.

Made me wonder how it could cost 750 bucks for that chunk of steel.

And I actually have one of those Estwing tomahawks. Bought mine at a local heavy equipment rental place (also bought my brother one, but his was the double headed one. I went with the single head with spike model.)
