You mean like on video from police body cameras when there's allegations of wrongdoing?  Someone needs to establish a baseline now of how often body camera video is unavailable (turned off/not worn/dead battery/donut crumbs/etc.) then see if that changes significantly over the next decade, and then correlate that with any changes in the statistics of how often body camera video exonerates officers. 

It would not surprise me in the least if there's a sudden sharp drop in how often bodycam video isn't available and a corresponding spike in how often the video clears the officers because it makes it look like witnesses lied.

We have now entered the beginning of the Age of Deception, where Big Brother is never wrong and here's video to prove you did not see and hear what you thought you saw and heard, and if you keep insisting otherwise maybe you need free treatment in the state psychiatric hospital. Come along now with the nice agents ... err "attendants" with the gag and the coat with funny sleeves.

That closing threat is rather chilling, but we've seen that they can be hurt.

It's a stretch, but I can still see the HD Atlas from the first video actually being used in a search and rescue operation. 

The second one, though? Looks way more at home on a battlefield. Plus, the way it stood up was like every creepy kid ever in every horror movie. 

Every time it fell, I thought "So we can beat them."

I just got home and turned on the news - and they had the "Thermonator" on it.

1 hour battery life, controlled by Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or autonomously, and the flames shoots 30 feet.  It can be used for (and I quote the news announcer)

"Firefighting (back burns of forest fires), entertainment or something practical like burning snow and ice off your driveway."

and.....  It costs less than $10k.   

What bad could possibly happen when you can buy a robot with a flamethrower for $10k?  Did they even think for 2 seconds about this?  Hopefully sales are highly restricted.
