BBC News - EU rules to force USB-C chargers for all phones

About time IMHO. Why buy a new charger every time you change phone/pad?

Who knows, buying a phone without  charger may even be cheaper (not holding breath).

The last time this happened, the EU only threatened to force standardisation per law. The manufacturers pulled their shit together, and agreed on micro USB-B (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_external_power_supply).

The reason they now actually had to do something, is that Apple keeps stalling. All the others are pretty much on board with type C as successor to B.

I will not remove the adapter set from my EDC bag, yet.
May contain traces of derp.
