USAID is the agency that helps to contain and monitor global disease where it occurs to provide the CDC with accurate data and to help keep those diseases out of our country.  The cuts to USAID make it difficult for us to get first-hand frontline information, which may contribute to why this disease remains a mystery at this point.  It may not be a novel disease and could be something we're familiar with and maybe could treat, but we're just not getting enough data to know either way.

All do respect, Anianna. And I seriously mean that.

I'm not going to comment for reasons of avoiding political discussions.

I'm not trying to be political.  This is an effect regardless of the politics or whether either of us approves or disapproves of the decisions made or other related decisions.  Kind of like how a state's or local entity's choice to make an intersection a roundabout or a four-way has impacts regardless of one's politics.  It just works differently now than it did before and I think it's beneficial to be aware of that.

I wasn't suggesting you were being political. I am just not going to comment because I fear I would. Lol.

Maybe if USAID and those that have abused it hadn't stolen billions of taxpayers dollars - they wouldn't be in this mess. Enough said. ;)
