No it's not all in the patient's head.

A really scary aspect is what what the article says towards the end. These previously undetected mitochondrial abnormalities and micro-clots may be affecting other tissues as well. Not just the patient's muscles, which is what this study was specifically testing for.

Covid was not great, but so much research and advancement in medicine is happening because of it.  This has been an issue forever, but it took a mass illness and mass suffering to make the research happen.

Absolutely agree and this kind of research and advancement will pay dividends someday.  It just stinks in the here and now if you happen to be one of the people whose struggles are creating the need for that research.

I just want it to stop making my hair fall out.  I don't have much left, look weird without it (as boot camp showed), and have too many hair brushes.

I'm actually kind of mad that it took this kind of suffering to make it happen.  A lot of us have had these issues our whole lives and have been pretty much dismissed by every medical professional.  It shouldn't take many people suffering to take the few seriously.  Imagine how things would be different now for all of these people suddenly suffering if this research had already been done.  We might actually have the answers now if the rest of us had already been taken seriously.

Same thing with the mRNA technology.  It had been dismissed and not funded due largely to the risk that it wouldn't be profitable.  It took a pandemic to get that research moving after decades of attempts.  We could have been there already and prevented a lot of death and suffering that happened because the technology wasn't ready.

I have been hoping you'd join these conversations, @Anianna, because you are our forerunners, which unequivocally sucks for you and your fellow sufferers. However, it's your insight passed on to our millions now trying to work with the same 'non research' part of the medical systems we are dealing with, that, like you, dismiss us and disbelieve us... that will be invaluable.

You have the most insight we will need to keep putting one foot in front of the other with them..... until 'the' detection is documented widely and treatment(s) written in the book. (of course all the doctors will then lift their hands to the heavens at once and say together, "I always knew it")

Until then we Need you, your experience, insight, and wisdom.

The whole video seems to hold up with other research I've read or heard but little room on little Kindle to file I had to let it wash over me. Soon though, soon..

The laptop is sitting in my living room, waiting for a shipping box.  My boxes that were supposed to have next-day-shipping from Staples (used my business account) have been shifted to this coming Thursday.  It'll be on the UPS truck by Friday.  Sorry about the delay.

We've had a lot of new visitors to the dysautonomia subbredit because of this.  Dysautonomia is a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system like he's talking about.  Also, he noted that people with connective tissue disorders are at greater risk, which follows what is already known that dysautonomia is a common comorbidity with connective tissue disorders such as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (a genetic connective tissue disorder that runs in my family).

Problematic, though, is that there aren't a lot of neurologists specializing in the autonomic nervous system (there wasn't a single one in my state last I checked) and neurologists generally are one of the most difficult doctors to get an appointment with.  I hope that shifts with the current state of things.

That people are getting better, while good for them, is concerning.  Doctors tend to become dismissive of longer-lasting symptoms already.  The more they can't find an answer, the more it's "just in your head" and this may just confirm that bias.

I have most of what he was talking about in the video and I've always believed it was multiple symptoms of one or two conditions rather than a lot of separate conditions.  I hope researchers can chase these symptoms to their roots and find some answers.

It was supposed to have been delivered today but I suspect the weather is causing a delay.
