I really ought to try this next year.  I have gigantic oak trees here at my house that drop tons of acorns every year.  (when the house next door was foreclosed years ago, I did some yard cleanup to help it sell and raked/swept/shoveled an entire garbage can worth of acorns just from the driveway there!)

To make sure that I'm prepared to do this, I printed off a couple of articles about preparing them and some ideas for eating.  I'm particularly interested in roasting/salting them, as I eat a ton of nuts already (peanuts, almonds, cashews, etc.) and this would fit right in!

I liked the separation process. Floaters are bad, sinkers are good. I didn't know that.
