I honestly believe that there are times when, after the trial is over the firing squad should assemble in the courtyard.

I agree, but I don't trust anyone to determine when that line has been crossed. I've personally witnessed too many people thrown under the bus by public defenders and gross misconduct by prosecutors.

There are times when revenge seems desirable. However revenge is not justice...and justice is the goal.

BTW...after all of this 6 dead, etc. The suspect was given the opportunity to post bail.  Granted it was a $5mm bail but at what point do they deny bail.
Folks you are on your own...Plan and act accordingly!

I will never claim to have all the answers. Depending upon the subject; I am also aware that I may not have all the questions much less the answers. As a result I am always willing to listen to others and work with them to arrive at the right answers to the applicable questions.

"Justice", in this case and IMHO, means that this grossly defective excuse for a human being needs to be recycled.  They are beyond repair or remediation and need to be disposed of.  We speak often and with conviction of the sanctity of human life, how precious and special it is, and then completely belie the premise by allowing garbage such as this to not only live, but to walk freely amongst us.  Give him his trial and then chain him to a stake out back of the courthouse where I can serve his final "justice".  I won't even bill the state for the ammo expended and I'll sleep just fine that night.

In all my experience, "bail" paid is 10% of the posted amount. So in my experience, he can get out with $500,000. And the $1,000 bail was paid with $100. Most likely. It's possible Wisconsin has a different system.

We value human life. But at some point we have to ask "whose life is to be protected, the perpetrator or the victim?"

The criminal justice system has become very perpetrator centric. My guess is in part that is because the people they see on a regular basis are the perpetrators. I think there are some political issues too.

I agree that there are too many politically motivated DAs and defense attornies. I would like to see a combination of "death penalty" and "lawyers are held accountable for mismanagement." In ancient Hebrew law, if a builder built a shoddy building, and the building fell apart and hurt or killed someone, the builder paid according to the losses. Eye for lost eye, hand for lost hand, life for lost life. I wonder if a similar mechanism could be used to help regulate lawyers.

I give it a week before he'll start trying to appeal the verdict. This waste of space probably still thinks he did nothing wrong.

That is his right under our judicial system.  Assuming he can find a lawyer who believes there's a valid basis for appeal.

But I do agree that maybe there should be two kinds of guilty verdicts.  "Guilty" and then "So f-ing guilty the only time you're allowed to see the inside of a courtroom again is for sentencing."  This loser seems like a poster child for that kind of system.
