Need help finding a mount that works..

-Need advice which mount to use, and I am hoping the Hive Mind can help me...

I have a Ruger Mini 14, (it's a 580 series I got a license for back in 2007), on which want to mount a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 x24 AR-BDC with a Vortex Switchview Throw Lever ( I believe it's the SV-4).

Ordinary rings in the proprietary "Ruger attachment points" don't give me anywhere near enough eye relief for a proper sight picture with that scope and I have been unable to find any cantilever mount that attaches to Rugers "proprietary attachment points"
(my "Google fu" is probably weak, so if anyone can find such a mount please tell me.)

I have bought a picatinny rail that attaches to the "Ruger attachment points", a GG&G "Mini 14 Scope Mounting Rail Mil-Std-1913 Rail
It extends a little bit forward and gives me a few extra cm of eye relief so ordinary rings might work, but they'd have to be pretty narrow, with the forward ring almost touching the "box" where the sight adjacent knobs sit, and it's still borderline (I don't have any picatinny rings yet, so I just loosely mounted the picatinny rail and put the scope on top to measure)

So I was thinking to use a cantilever mount on the picatinny rail to get the scope a bit further forward and give me a bit more margin and work better in various shooting positions.

And I want to keep the scope as low as possible, I figure 25.5mm (1 inch) between the top of the rail and the centerline of the scope should be enough to have some clearance for the throw lever, but the cantilevers all seem to be higher than that..

-So, can anyone help me find a really low cantilever mount? (preferably
one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg). 

Or do you have any other ideas or suggestions?
(Going AR or AK is not an option here in Sweden, I was lucky  to get the Mini14 before they were banned)

A picatinny or weaver base in the standard location combined with a low profile cantilever mount may be the ticket.  Finding one that sits as low as possible would be key.  The Aero Precision ones sit pretty low, but there may be a brand that sits even lower:

Notice how it pushes the whole scope forward as compared to where the standard Ruger rings would.  The downside is there isn't much room to slide it forward and backward in the mount itself.

A more affordable option may be to sell the scope you have an buy a scope that fits the stock scope mounts better.  The Strike Eagles can be tough to mount on some rifles for sure, due to their measurements.

If they don't ship outside the US then I'd be willing to get it for you and forward it.  Maybe even hand delivered.

Pete beat me to it. I have an aeroprecision mount with a strike eagle on an AR pistol. I'm quite happy with it.

Was just talking with my adopted little sister this last week how much we miss visiting Sweden every summer.

I have mixed thoughts.

On one hand, seeing all the different steps to get through customs seems stupid and burdensome.

Not that amazing.  It spent a week in NYC sightseeing.  All those locations in NY (my phone app shows actual map locations) are less than 25 miles apart and one of my childhood homes was right in the middle of them.  It's like it decided to have an "Old Home Week" for me.   

If not for that it would have been a much quicker trip.  And the bouncing around in Sweden, the app shows it going large distances in just minutes.  Now, as excellent as Swedish transportation may be I don't think they're quite at Mach 6 mail transport yet.

I recieved a e-mail this morning  that I could pick up the package at the central postal facility down by the railway station, so I picked it up today..😁

It sure looks like the package have bounced around quite a lot back and forth between Malmö and Stockholm here in Sweden, but I Seriously doubt that's physically happened. 😁
My guess is that it's just the logs/registrations in the system that's been done out of order..
