LAPG has some nice bags and packs within the LAPG brand. The thing I like about them is they are not overbuilt. I don't like Maxpedition for this very reason. Once you stitch a quality bag, out of standard weight backpack material, it's going to last for years and years. I own two of the LAPG school backpacks. And they are perfect for EDC. Tough enough material. But not overbuilt. Lightweight but rugged. I am using one as my GHB.

I own a lightweight Walmart school backpack I purchased over 20 yrs ago. Made if standard backoack material. It's ultra lightweight. And is still going strong.

And in pouches and small bags you don't want five of them in or on your main pack taking up excessive room and weight. Most of my pouches are ultra strong but lightweight silnylon draw string bags. That weigh nothing.

I've been looking for a FAK pouch for some time. I have two Condor bags. But they are heavy canvas. Not very flexible. And hard to get things in and out of.

The Frunk pack is basically a fannypack, shaped like a pouch, and you can tuck the waist belt into the pack. Essentially turning it into a great FAK bag. That also happens to have a hidden waist belt. Should you need to carry it outside of your waist pack.

The Dimensions are 6.5" H x 11.5" W x 3.5" D. Which I find to be in the size range of an optimal FAK. It is made of cordura and ripstop nylon. And weighs in at 8 ounces.

It also comes with a removable holster. As the packs initial intent is as an EDC pack for your side arm. Which isn't a bad idea for concealment either. But it is removable. Keaving olenty of room for a full FAK.

This is it:

If you look closely at the bottom left pic in this ad. And the second photo. You will see it with the waist belt hidden inside. And it being used with a belt.

Also look at the upper right image. The size is perfect for a FAK. I can never fit everything in our FAK with the majority of pouches I have found. Although I was considering the molle rucksack sustainment pouches. Which are cheap and large. But are basically a drawstring sack. So organization with this clamshell fannypack seems perfect.

And here's a pic of the back. You can see the rear oanel that the waist belt tucks into.

Here are some additional pics of the inside compartments. I like the mesh side pouch. And the elastic mag holders would be perfect for larger items like a turnicut, scissors, meds etc .

Thanks for that great write up.  I had been looking for a bag like that that wasn't the pvc type kids bags or plastered with some advertisement.

Lmao! I blame Joe Rogan! ;)

I actually had one of the first holster fannypacks back in the 80s. A friend of mine at the army navy surplus store I worked at sewed and was a designer. He made one of the first ones. He had investors. But I don't recall what ever happened to it. He gave me a prototype I had for years.

He was also a guy that could paint perfect camo on anything. Guys would hire him to do their vehicles. His own VW was covered in black and white camo. And it looked exactly military.

Hey slipkid. Nice to meet you. I don't recognize your username. :) welcome!

Ya. Its hard to find a bag between to big and to small for a FAK. I like that its depth is larger. Fat stuff like gauze will fit. :)
