Usually these "all in one" products turn me off. But I'm finding it hard to hate on this jacket. Also pants. Their instagram video showed it without the logo. Which I would prefer. I guess I could hate on that.

But as a bug out or ghb jacket and/or pants I like all the features. And I especially like that they are all hidden. Otherwise it just looks like a typical rain jacket. It says water resistant to 10,000mm. I don't know what those ratings mean. But at its introductory price of $139 for the jacket and $199 for jacket and pants. I'm not turned off.

Watch the video. Its short. And shows all the amazing features. If it were a "waterproof" jacket I would like it better. But still. Nice features.

10000mm waterproof rating is unusually high!

FYI the mm rating refers the maximum height of a theoretical column of water with the bottom made of the tested material that won't leak.

There's probably a better way to word that, but hopefully you follow.

Bad marketing. Everytime I read water "resistant" I read bullshit material that isn't waterproof.

In the wrist watch world, manufacturers used to be able to call dive watches and other time pieces "waterproof". Now they're legally required to only use the words "water resistant", even for a helium escape valve-equipped dive watch good for 600 meters depth.

It's kind of the wild west with claims of a fabric's water resistance. The mm rating is probably the best metric we have, at least for now.
