I stopped at Kohl's today to look at some new khakis.  I've got a CERT event on Monday and wanted some new pants to wear for it.  To my surprise, they had some Sonoma pants that are rip-stop, relaxed-fit, cargo pants and had a pair of them in my size!  No, they won't be as durable as a true "tactical" brand would be, but they're very comfortable and were only $30.  Unfortunately, they only have them in khaki and gray.  I would've liked to have gotten a second pair of them in black.  Still, a great find at that price!

Oh, and because they're relaxed fit, my issue with the ankles not being large enough to let me wear boots and carry my ankle medical kit aren't an issue.  There's actually a bit of elastic there, with a drawstring if I wanted to pull them in some.  It will be a bit strange to have that little bit of drawstring hanging out of the cuff, but it's sewn into place.  I may just cut it off, since I don't really see a use case for pulling in the ankle cuff.
