Much to my disappointment, the remain of the old ZS site gives no clue on how to access the massive amount of information I presume to be held in archive.   :headbang:

So, enter the Wayback machine.  (https://archive.org/web/) a well maintained archive of crawled data.  (Make a donation!)

I do this:
Find the old thread URL via a Google search - for example, my tome on Beans and rice
https://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=74461

Cut/paste into the Way back search field
Hit Enter

A calendar displays showing dated archived.
Click on date (blue circle)

Click on one of the dates in drop down menu

I got this
https://web.archive.org/web/20210306082219/https://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=74461

which brings up the thread in question.

Good luck.

Nice.  I'm a tech dork, no idea how to find the url thingies you speak of though.  In my brief searches for old threads, all I get to is THE END page again.

Will you do this one? I'm not having success with it.

I get the Wayback Machine has not archived that URL. flag.

Do you have the original search string?

Seems to be "The Poor Man's Prepping".  The Google Cache method picks up seemingly random pages.

Don't know what is meant by the original search string

It 'is' The Poor Man's Prepping thread if that's of any help.

I tried another one:
https://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=100&t=84987&start=720

It said it wasn't captured and did I want it captured.
Yes
Said it captured it. Did I want to see it
Yes
Took me to a Wayback page I didn't understand with a click that said Show Me.
Which took me to The End ZS message.

You might be able top pull it using a combination of google cached and way back.
https://web.archive.org/web/20201001090245/https://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=100&t=84987
although only looks like the first page or so was archived.

through Google cached:
https://www.google.com/search?q=%22The+Poor+Man%27s+Prepping%22+%22Zombie+Squad%22&client=firefox-b-1-d&sxsrf=ALeKk03NGcVNN5U3ESoH3J4BR4hj9qUhEA:1626833772624&filter=0&biw=1280&bih=910

Search term was
Code: [Select]
"The Poor Man's Prepping" "Zombie Squad"
Maybe try some other search engines.  I'd often see yahoobot, bing bot, and others scanning...

It's a piecemeal approach until ZS unlocks the doors...  :(

You found it!!  Grumpy46's OP!!! duodecima!!! prepper7!!!  KnightoftheRock!!! Me at the very beginning when I was zombiepreparation!!! My post there is my origin story.

This thread is dear to me. The people there are dear to me. It was my home, where I learned to prep. They talked on my prepping level and were the nicest kindest people.

The Wayback says it captured 6 pages but I can't get them to pull up. No worries though because what you did get is a pearl of great price to me.
